Getting started
Install Moddify Studio, publish your first customizer and see it on your product page.
Moddify Studio turns one Shopify product into a step-by-step builder. The buyer picks parts, colors and extras, sees a layered preview and a live price, and adds one configured item to the cart. Checkout charges the computed price, and the order carries the design and its production codes.
What you need
- A Shopify store on any plan. Shopify Plus stores get a single cart line at the exact price; other plans get a bundle of the base product and its priced parts. See Pricing and checkout.
- An Online Store 2.0 theme (Dawn or any theme with app blocks).
- One Shopify product to customize. Its variant price is the starting price of every design.
- Layer images: one transparent PNG or WebP per answer and view, all the same canvas size. See Layer images and bulk upload.
The short version
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions. The app registers its checkout function for your store during install, and the dashboard shows a setup checklist that ticks itself off as you go.
- Open Customizers, create one and pick the product it belongs to.
- Add steps, questions and answers. Upload your layers with bulk upload.
- Add rules where options depend on each other.
- Click Publish and write a short note about what changed.
- In the theme editor, add the Moddify Studio block to your product template.
- Open the product page, build a design and place a test order. It shows up under Orders with its design images.

Free plan limits
The free plan covers one customizer with up to 10 questions and 50 customized orders a month, and shows a small "Powered by Moddify Studio" link. Paid plans remove those limits; see Pricing.
